- 2 cups rolled oats
- 1 cup chopped nuts (almonds or pecans)
- 1/2 cup coconut flakes (optional)
- 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- A pinch of cinnamon
- 1 cup sliced fresh strawberries or freeze-dried strawberries
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the rolled oats, chopped nuts, and coconut flakes (if desired).
- In another bowl, mix the honey (or maple syrup), vanilla extract, and cinnamon until well combined.
- Pour the wet ingredients over the dry mixture and stir until coated.
- Spread the mixture evenly onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown, stirring halfway through.
- During the last few minutes of baking, add sliced fresh strawberries or freeze-dried strawberries.
- Let it cool completely before storing in an airtight container.
Notes
For extra crunch, allow the granola to cool in the pan.
