Description
Delicious and creamy spinach artichoke bites wrapped in buttery crescent dough, perfect for gatherings.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 can refrigerated crescent dough
- 2 cups fresh spinach, chopped
- 1 cup artichoke hearts, chopped
- 4 oz cream cheese or ricotta
- 1/2 cup shredded cheese (mozzarella or parmesan)
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp dried dill or thyme
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Sauté the spinach and garlic in a skillet over medium heat until the spinach is wilted (about 3-5 minutes). Season with a pinch of salt.
- In a bowl, mix together the sautéed spinach, chopped artichokes, cream cheese, shredded cheese, and herbs until well combined.
- Roll out the crescent dough and cut it into squares. Place a tablespoon of the filling in the center of each square.
- Fold the dough over the filling to form triangles, sealing edges to prevent leakage.
- Arrange on the baking sheet and brush with egg wash.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown and puffed.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
For a lighter version, replace cream cheese with Greek yogurt. Make sure to drain spinach properly if using frozen.
