Description
Delightful Soft & Chewy Peanut Butter Cookies, bursting with nutty flavor and a perfect balance of sweetness and saltiness.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 2 large eggs
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- Optional: 1 cup chocolate chips or chopped peanuts
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the peanut butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar. Mix until smooth and creamy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually incorporate the dry ingredients into the wet mixture.
- Drop spoonfuls of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, leaving space between each mound.
- Use a fork to press down each cookie, creating a crisscross pattern.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden and the centers are still soft.
- Let the cookies cool on the baking sheets for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.
Notes
Allowing the dough to rest in the refrigerator for up to an hour enhances the flavor. Avoid overmixing to ensure softer cookies.
