Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Season cubed steaks with salt and pepper, then sear until golden brown on each side.
- Place seared steak in the slow cooker and add chopped onions, minced garlic, and optional mushrooms.
- In a bowl, combine beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and soy sauce. Pour over the meat and vegetables in the slow cooker, stirring gently.
- Set the slow cooker to low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours until steak is tender.
- If a thicker gravy is desired, mix a tablespoon of cornstarch with cold water to create a slurry and stir into the slow cooker about 30 minutes before serving.
- Serve the cubed steak over mashed potatoes, rice, or noodles with extra gravy.
