Description

Delightful Oreo Macarons blend nostalgia and whimsy in each tiny bite, echoing the flavors of classic Oreos with a rich filling.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup almond flour
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 3 egg whites (room temperature)
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 1 cup crushed Oreo cookies
  • 1/2 cup softened butter (for filling)
  • 1/2 cup additional powdered sugar (for filling)
  • Milk (as needed for filling consistency)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Sift together the almond flour, powdered sugar, and cocoa powder in a large bowl.
  3. Whip the egg whites in a separate bowl until fluffy. Gradually add granulated sugar and continue to whip until stiff peaks form.
  4. Gently fold the dry mixture into the egg whites until you achieve a silky consistency.
  5. Transfer the batter to a piping bag and pipe small circles onto the baking sheets, leaving space in between.
  6. Allow to rest for at least 30 minutes until a skin forms on the surface.
  7. Bake for 15-18 minutes until the macarons lift easily off the parchment paper. Let cool completely.
  8. For the filling, beat softened butter, crushed Oreo cookies, and powdered sugar until fluffy, adding milk as needed for consistency.
  9. Pipe the filling onto one macaron shell and sandwich it with another. Repeat with remaining shells.
  10. Let the assembled macarons rest in the fridge for a few hours before serving.

Notes

For a decorative touch, drizzle melted chocolate on top or sprinkle crushed Oreo crumbs.
