- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup pure maple syrup
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup confectioners’ sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and maple syrup until smooth and fluffy.
- Gradually mix in the flour and salt until just combined.
- Refrigerate the dough wrapped in plastic wrap for at least 1 hour.
- Roll out the dough on a floured surface to about ½-inch thickness, cut out shapes, and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, until the edges are lightly golden.
- While cooling, whisk together confectioners’ sugar and maple syrup for the glaze.
- Once cookies are cool, drizzle or dip in the glaze and let set on a wire rack.
Notes
Don’t overbake! Cookies should look slightly underdone when taken out of the oven.
