- Coarse sugar for rolling
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cream the butter and sugar in a large bowl until light and fluffy (about 3-4 minutes).
- Add the egg and vanilla extract, mixing until combined.
- In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the butter mixture until just combined.
- Scoop tablespoons of dough, roll them into balls, and then roll each ball in coarse sugar.
- Place dough balls on a lined baking sheet, spacing them 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are lightly golden and centers are set.
- Let cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
