Ingredients

- 200g dark chocolate (at least 70% cocoa)
- 150g unsalted butter
- 3 large eggs
- 200g brown sugar
- 100g all-purpose flour
- 150g chopped pecans
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- A pinch of salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Melt dark chocolate and butter over low heat until smooth, then let it cool slightly.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together eggs, sugar, and vanilla extract until light and fluffy.
- Slowly incorporate the melted chocolate mixture into the egg mixture, stirring continuously.
- Gradually fold in the flour and salt until just combined.
- Pour half of the batter into a greased baking pan, then sprinkle chopped pecans over the top.
- Spread the remaining batter over the pecans.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Allow to cool slightly before slicing into squares.
Notes
For a gluten-free version, replace all-purpose flour with almond flour. Serve warm with ice cream for the best experience.
