Description

Delightful cookies with a gooey marshmallow center, perfect for comforting winter afternoons.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 cup mini marshmallows

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Cream the butter and sugars together until fluffy, about 3-5 minutes.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt. Gradually mix into the wet ingredients.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  6. Shape dough into balls, about 2 inches in diameter, and place on the baking sheet.
  7. Press mini marshmallows into the center of each dough ball.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes, until the edges are firm but the centers remain soft.
  9. Cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

Do not over-bake; cookies should be slightly underdone in the center. Use softened butter for the best texture.
