Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 1 cup mini marshmallows
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Cream the butter and sugars together until fluffy, about 3-5 minutes.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt. Gradually mix into the wet ingredients.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Shape dough into balls, about 2 inches in diameter, and place on the baking sheet.
- Press mini marshmallows into the center of each dough ball.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, until the edges are firm but the centers remain soft.
- Cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
Do not over-bake; cookies should be slightly underdone in the center. Use softened butter for the best texture.
