A comforting yet elegant Garlic Butter Shrimp Linguine with sweet, briny shrimp and buttery garlic, perfect for weeknights or special occasions.
Ingredients
Scale
- 8 oz linguine
- 1 lb large, deveined shrimp
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter
- 2 tbsp extra-virgin olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 lemon, juice and zest
- 1/4 cup dry white wine (optional)
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Red pepper flakes (optional)
- Mushrooms (optional)
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a rolling boil and cook the linguine until al dente.
- Pat the shrimp dry, season with salt and pepper, and mince the garlic and herbs.
- Heat a wide skillet over medium-high heat, add olive oil and half of the butter. Sear shrimp for 1-2 minutes on each side until pink, then remove from pan.
- Lower heat, add remaining butter, sauté garlic until fragrant, deglaze with white wine, and let it reduce.
- Stir in lemon juice, add cooked linguine and shrimp back to the pan. Toss with herbs, season to taste, and serve immediately.
Notes
Always reserve pasta water for adjusting sauce consistency. Cook shrimp in batches if the skillet is crowded.
