Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb flank steak or sirloin
- 2 bell peppers (red, yellow, and green)
- 1 onion
- 3 cloves garlic
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tbsp cornstarch (for thickening)
- Fresh herbs (such as parsley or basil)
Instructions

- Brown the Steak: Optional but recommended, sear the beef in a hot skillet for a few minutes before transferring it to the slow cooker.
- Combine in the Slow Cooker: Place the steak, onions, and bell peppers in the slow cooker. Pour in the soy sauce, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and add the brown sugar. Stir gently to combine.
- Cook Low and Slow: Cover and set your slow cooker to low for about 6-8 hours, or high for 3-4 hours.
- Thicken the Sauce: About 30 minutes before serving, mix a tablespoon of cornstarch with water to create a slurry and stir it into the sauce until thickened.
- Serve and Enjoy: Serve the Easy Slow Cooker Pepper Steak over rice, noodles, or a baked potato.
Notes
Garnish with fresh parsley and a sprinkle of black pepper or hot sauce if desired. Adjust spice levels as per your taste.
