Description
A beloved family recipe that combines rich maple syrup and vanilla in a buttery crust for a comforting dessert.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 unbaked pie crust
- 1 cup pure maple syrup
- 3 large eggs
- ½ cup heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- A pinch of salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Prepare the pie crust according to package instructions or roll out your homemade crust and place it in a pie dish.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the maple syrup, eggs, heavy cream, melted butter, vanilla extract, and salt until well blended.
- Pour the filling into the prepared crust. Optionally, sprinkle a dash of ground cinnamon on top.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until the filling is set but slightly jiggly.
- Remove from the oven and let cool before serving. Optionally serve with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
Notes
Avoid overbaking to prevent cracks in the filling. Letting the pie cool allows it to set properly.
