- 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour or whole wheat flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- ½ cup low-calorie sweetener or honey
- ½ cup Greek yogurt or unsweetened applesauce
- 1–2 eggs
- Optional: nuts or dark chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
- Mash the ripe bananas until smooth. Add Greek yogurt and eggs, mixing until combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and sweetener.
- Gradually add dry mix to wet ingredients, folding gently.
- If desired, fold in nuts or chocolate chips.
- Pour batter into the loaf pan and spread evenly.
- Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Allow to cool in the pan for 10-15 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
Use ripe bananas for maximum sweetness. Don’t overmix the batter for a lighter texture.
