Description
A delightful combination of brownies and cookies that brings joy and nostalgia to your Halloween celebrations.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup chocolate chips (semi-sweet or dark)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- Melt the butter in a medium bowl until just warm.
- Stir in brown sugar and granulated sugar until smooth, then mix in the eggs one at a time, followed by vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and baking soda. Gradually fold this into the wet ingredients until well combined.
- In a different bowl, cream together softened butter with both sugars, then mix in your egg and follow with vanilla and flour until you have a cookie dough. Stir in chocolate chips.
- Pour half the brownie batter into the greased pan, spoon dollops of cookie dough on top, then follow with the remaining brownie batter. Swirl them together gently with a fork or knife.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out slightly moist.
- Cool in the pan for 10 minutes before lifting out and letting them cool completely before cutting into squares.
Notes
