- 16 jumbo pasta shells
- 15 oz ricotta cheese
- 8 oz shredded mozzarella cheese
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Fresh herbs (basil, parsley, or oregano)
- 2–3 cloves garlic, minced
- Marinara sauce
- Olive oil
- Salt
- Pepper
- Red pepper flakes
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook the jumbo pasta shells according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a mixing bowl, combine ricotta cheese, shredded mozzarella, grated Parmesan, chopped herbs, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Fill each shell with the cheese mixture and arrange in a baking dish, seam side up.
- Pour marinara sauce over the stuffed shells, ensuring they are covered.
- Top with remaining mozzarella and Parmesan.
- Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake for another 10-15 minutes until cheese is golden and bubbly.
- Let it rest for a few minutes before serving and garnish with fresh basil or parsley.
Notes
Avoid overcooking the pasta and let the filling cool before stuffing. Use enough sauce to keep the shells moist.
