Description
A delightful dish featuring gooey Brie cheese enrobed in golden puff pastry, layered with sweet cinnamon apples.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 wheel of Brie Cheese
- 1 sheet of Puff Pastry
- 2–3 Apples (Fuji or Honeycrisp)
- 1 tablespoon Butter
- 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
- 1/4 cup Brown Sugar
- 1/4 cup Walnuts (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat; add sliced apples, cinnamon, and brown sugar, cooking until apples soften, about 5–7 minutes.
- Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface to make it slightly larger.
- Place the Brie in the center of the puff pastry and top with sautéed apples and any remaining juices.
- Wrap the pastry around the Brie, sealing it completely.
- Brush the surface with melted butter and bake for 25–30 minutes until golden brown.
- Let cool briefly before slicing and serve warm.
Notes
Cover loosely with foil if the pastry darkens too quickly while baking. Ensure the pastry is sealed well to avoid leakage.
