Description
Delicious sliders made with ground chicken meatballs, marinara sauce, and melted cheese, perfect for family gatherings.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb (450g) ground chicken
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 2 cloves fresh garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 egg
- Salt to taste
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 4 slider buns
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
- Olive oil for sautéing
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine ground chicken, breadcrumbs, minced garlic, chopped herbs, egg, salt, and grated Parmesan cheese.
- Wet your hands slightly and roll out equal-sized meatballs, about 1 to 1½ inches in diameter.
- In a skillet over medium heat, add olive oil and sear the meatballs for 3-4 minutes on each side until browned.
- Transfer the meatballs to a baking dish and cover with marinara sauce.
- Top with mozzarella and additional Parmesan, then bake for 20-25 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Slice the slider buns and serve a meatball with sauce in between. Garnish with fresh basil.
- Serve warm and enjoy!
Notes
Avoid overmixing the meatball mixture to ensure tender sliders. Let meatballs rest after baking for juiciness.
