- 1 tablespoon Lemon juice

Instructions
- Core and slice the apples into thin rounds, about ¼ inch thick. Do not peel them.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Add brown sugar and stir until it begins to dissolve.
- Add the apple slices to the skillet, tossing them gently to coat in the buttery mixture.
- Sprinkle in the cinnamon, nutmeg, lemon juice, and a pinch of salt. Stir well and cook for about 10-12 minutes until the apples are tender yet hold their shape.
- Drizzle vanilla extract over the apples and give them a final toss. Cook for an additional minute.
