- 1 head green cabbage, shredded
- 14 oz extra-firm tofu, drained and cut into cubes
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
- 2–3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil (optional)
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
- 2 scallions, chopped
- Salt, to taste
Instructions
- Prepare the Tofu: Start by draining and pressing the tofu. Cut it into bite-sized cubes and marinate in soy sauce for about 15 minutes.
- Sauté Aromatics: Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add minced garlic and grated ginger, cooking for about a minute.
- Cook the Cabbage: Add shredded cabbage and stir frequently for 5-7 minutes until tender yet vibrant.
- Add Tofu: Carefully add the marinated tofu and stir gently, allowing it to become golden.
- Finish Up: Cook together for a few minutes, then toss with sesame seeds and chopped scallions.
- Serve: Plate over rice or noodles, drizzle with sesame oil, and garnish with extra green onions.
Notes
Great with jasmine rice or noodles; adds a splash of soy sauce for extra flavor.
