- 1 sheet puff pastry (store-bought or homemade)
- 2 cups fresh blackberries
- 2 ripe pears, sliced
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Grease a tart pan or baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Roll out the puff pastry to fit the tart pan, cutting off excess.
- In a mixing bowl, combine sliced pears and blackberries with sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
- Layer the fruit mixture over the puff pastry.
- Fold the edges of the puff pastry over the fruit.
- Brush the edges with the egg wash.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown and bubbly.
- Cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
For added flavor, dust the tart with flour before adding the fruit to absorb excess juices.
