- 1 ready-made pie crust (store-bought or homemade)
- 1 cup light brown sugar, packed
- 1 cup corn syrup (light or dark)
- 3 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup pecans, chopped
- 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- A pinch of salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Prepare the pie crust in a 9-inch pie dish, trimming and fluting edges as desired.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, brown sugar, corn syrup, melted butter, vanilla extract, and salt until smooth.
- Gently fold in the chopped pecans and chocolate chips.
- Pour the filling into the prepared pie crust.
- Bake for about 60-70 minutes until set and lightly jiggly in the center, covering edges with foil if over-browning.
- Allow the pie to cool to room temperature before slicing.
Notes
Serve warm or at room temperature with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for extra indulgence.
