Description
Delightful heart-shaped cookies made from rich, buttery cookie dough and dipped in smooth chocolate, perfect for sharing and creating memories.
Ingredients
Scale
- ½ cup unsalted butter, room temperature (substitute with coconut oil for dairy-free)
- ¾ cup brown sugar (granulated sugar works as well)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract (or almond extract for a twist)
- 1 cup all-purpose flour (gluten-free flour can be used)
- 1 cup chocolate chips (semi-sweet, dark, milk, or white chocolate)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, cream together the unsalted butter and brown sugar until fluffy. Add vanilla extract and mix until fully incorporated.
- Gradually add all-purpose flour and mix until just combined. Avoid overmixing.
- Roll the dough into small balls and gently press them into heart shapes. Place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Let the hearts chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the chocolate chips in 30-second increments, stirring until smooth.
- Once chilled, dip each heart into the melted chocolate, coating it entirely, then place it back on the parchment paper.
- Allow the chocolate to set at room temperature or refrigerate to speed up the process.
- Serve your delightful treats with a cup of tea or coffee.
Notes
Use good-quality chocolate for dipping; ensure butter is softened. Consider adding nuts or a sprinkle of sea salt for extra flavor.
