- 1 cup chopped artichoke hearts (fresh or canned)
- 1 cup shredded aged cheddar cheese
- 2 large eggs
- 1 sheet puff pastry dough (or biscuit dough)
- Fresh herbs (parsley, chives, or dill) to taste
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large bowl, combine chopped artichokes, shredded cheddar, eggs, and herbs. Season with salt and pepper, and mix thoroughly.
- Roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface until thin.
- Cut the dough into squares large enough to hold a tablespoon of filling, and fold the dough to create triangular pockets. Seal the edges with a fork.
- Place filled squares on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 20-25 minutes, until golden brown.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving warm.
Notes
For variations, consider adding sautéed mushrooms or sun-dried tomatoes. Brush with egg wash for color before baking.
